NEET PG 2026: NBEMS Confirms No Answer Key Release

neet pg 2026 — IN news

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has made a decisive move regarding the NEET MDS 2026, announcing that it will not release any answer key. This decision underscores their commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality measures surrounding the examination process.

Conducted on May 2, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM, the NEET MDS featured 240 multiple-choice questions. Candidates faced a marking scheme where each correct answer earned them +4 points, while incorrect responses incurred a penalty of -1 point. This rigorous format is designed to challenge prospective postgraduate dental students.

The examination took place amidst significant participation, with nearly 23 lakh candidates registering for the NEET-UG earlier that year. The NEET-UG was conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 international locations, marking it as one of the largest medical entrance exams globally.

Results for NEET MDS are expected by June 2, 2026, and will be published in PDF format detailing marks, All India Rank, and qualifying status. Following this announcement, observers anticipate the release of merit lists and cutoff scores, which will initiate the counseling process for successful candidates.

The upcoming NEET-PG is scheduled for August 30, 2026. As the primary entrance examination for postgraduate dental admissions in India, it remains a focal point for aspiring dental professionals. The absence of an answer key raises questions about transparency and candidate feedback post-examination.
