In a significant move, Kolhan University has postponed its semester exams originally set for May 2, 2026, to ensure the smooth conduct of the NEET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 3. This decision comes as around 2.09 lakh candidates prepare to sit for one of India’s most competitive medical entrance examinations.

The NEET UG exam will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM across 611 examination centres spread over 27 districts. The examination promises to be a logistical challenge, with students advised to arrive at their respective centres at least 1–2 hours before the reporting time. As such, the university’s decision was made to minimize inconvenience and streamline operations.

The Examination Controller of Kolhan University stated, “The decision was taken to ensure smooth conduct of both university examinations and the NEET exam, while minimizing inconvenience to students.” This highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in managing educational schedules—especially when they intersect with high-stakes assessments.

Candidates who have registered for the NEET exam must have their admit cards ready. The National Testing Agency has already released these crucial documents, which serve as entry passes into the exam centres. Each candidate is reminded to adhere strictly to the exam guidelines, avoiding prohibited items such as mobile phones and electronic gadgets.

The NEET UG consists of 180 questions, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with a total score of 720 marks. A correct answer earns candidates +4 points, while incorrect answers incur a penalty of -1 point. Those aiming for top ranks will likely need scores above 650.

To accommodate travel needs on this crucial day, special trains will operate specifically for candidates heading to their examination locations. Jaipur has emerged as a significant hub in this arrangement, underscoring its role in facilitating access for thousands of aspiring medical students.

The excitement and anxiety surrounding this year’s NEET UG are palpable among candidates and their families. As they prepare for what could be a life-changing examination, the support from educational institutions like Kolhan University plays an essential role in shaping their experiences during this pivotal moment.
