Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17 Series in India, unveiling two flagship smartphones — the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra stands out with its impressive specifications, designed to cater to high-end users.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. This ensures vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling, making it ideal for multimedia consumption.

Weighing 218.4 grams, the device boasts an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and moisture. This durability is complemented by a robust 6,000 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s advanced camera system, which includes a 1-inch LOFIC main camera sensor, a 50 MP main camera, a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. This setup is designed to enhance photography capabilities, particularly in challenging lighting conditions.

According to Sandeep Singh Arora, “Xiaomi 17 delivers a well-rounded flagship experience in a compact form factor, while Xiaomi 17 Ultra pushes the boundaries of smartphone photography with innovations like LOFIC sensor technology and continuous optical zoom.” This highlights the brand’s commitment to innovation in mobile technology.

Additionally, Xiaomi is introducing a ‘Never Run Out’ promotion, allowing customers to purchase the 512GB model at the same price as the 256GB variant during the launch period.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at ₹1,29,999, while the Xiaomi 17 starts at ₹89,999. Both devices will be available starting March 18, 2026.

As the launch date approaches, observers are keen to see how these devices perform in the competitive smartphone market. The integration of Leica technology and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to attract significant attention.
