Upcoming Release of Scholarship Funds

On March 18, 2026, the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department will release the second installment of the UP Scholarship for the 2025–26 academic session. This initiative aims to provide financial support to students from General, OBC, SC/ST, and minority communities, ensuring they can continue their education.

The UP Scholarship Scheme is designed to assist students in meeting part of their academic expenses. To be eligible for the scholarship, Pre-Matric students must have a family income below ₹1 lakh annually, while Post-Matric students must not exceed ₹2 lakh per year. Additionally, SC/ST students have a slightly higher income limit of ₹2.5 lakh per year.

Students can easily check their application status on the official website, scholarship.up.gov.in. By entering their registration number and date of birth, they can track whether their application is still pending, rejected, or has been disbursed.

If the application status shows ‘Pending at District Scholarship Committee’, it indicates that verification is still ongoing. Conversely, a status of ‘Rejected’ suggests that there may be incorrect details or missing documents in the application. A status of ‘Disbursed’ confirms that the scholarship amount has been successfully transferred to the student’s bank account.

To facilitate the smooth transfer of funds, it is essential for students to ensure their bank accounts are linked with Aadhaar. The scholarship amount will be disbursed directly to students’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, streamlining the process and reducing delays.

The release of the second installment is significant for many students who rely on this financial assistance to pursue their academic goals. It underscores the government’s commitment to supporting education across various communities in Uttar Pradesh.

As the date approaches, students are encouraged to verify their application status and ensure all necessary documentation is in order. This proactive approach will help avoid any potential delays in receiving their scholarship funds.

Overall, the UP Scholarship continues to play a crucial role in enabling students to access educational opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach due to financial constraints.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any changes to eligibility criteria or application processes for the upcoming academic sessions.
