In a bid to enhance the travel experience for pilgrims, IntrCity SmartBus has launched a dedicated traveller lounge in Tirupati. This initiative aims to improve facilities for passengers, catering to the consistently high travel demand in pilgrimage corridors like Tirupati, particularly on overnight routes connecting major cities. Manish Rathi, a spokesperson for IntrCity SmartBus, highlighted the importance of this development, stating, “Travel demand is consistently high in pilgrimage corridors like Tirupati, particularly on overnight routes connecting major cities.” With 630 routes operated across 15 states, the service is poised to make religious travel more accessible.
As the influx of devotees continues, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced an online booking schedule for darshan tickets for June 2026, starting March 18, 2026. This move is expected to streamline the process for devotees eager to secure their place for darshan at the temple. Special entry darshan tickets will be available for purchase on March 24 at 10 am, priced at ₹300. The anticipation surrounding these tickets reflects the temple’s significance in the religious landscape of India.
