“The exam has been postponed, and new dates are yet to be announced,”
Originally scheduled for February 23, 2026, the exam has now been rescheduled to take place from April 27 to May 30, 2026, across four phases. This significant change has left many aspiring candidates in a state of flux, as they adjust their study plans to accommodate the new timeline.
In a bid to ease the transition, candidates will have the opportunity to select their preferred exam week between April 11 and April 15, 2026. However, it’s important to note that submitting a preference does not guarantee allocation to the chosen week, adding another layer of complexity to the process.
With over 25,000 vacancies announced for the SSC GD Constable recruitment, the stakes are high. The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and a medical examination, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates will be selected for roles within various forces such as the BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, and others.
The exam itself will feature objective-type questions covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi. Candidates are advised to check their exam city through the city intimation slip before the admit card is released, which is expected to be available approximately 3 to 5 days prior to the exam.
Despite the postponement, many experts suggest that this period can be utilized effectively by candidates to enhance their preparation. “Candidates should continue preparation and utilize the extra time effectively,” a spokesperson emphasized, urging aspirants not to lose focus.
The SSC GD Constable examination has become a highly searched topic among aspirants after its unexpected postponement, with more than 48 lakh applicants vying for a chance to secure a position.
As the new dates approach, candidates are encouraged to stay informed and ready, as the competition is expected to be fierce. The release of the admit card will be a crucial milestone, marking the final countdown to the examination.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further changes, but the anticipation continues to build as candidates prepare for this pivotal moment in their careers.
